A structured video course that explains how Swedish works and trains all four skills, so you build a reliable foundation instead of collecting random phrases.

Swedish looks friendly from the outside. The words resemble English and German, the pronunciation seems manageable, and there are plenty of apps promising quick wins. Then the questions start. Why does the verb jump to the front of the sentence? When do you add an ending to a noun, and when do you use a separate article? What changes in a subordinate clause?
Most self-taught learners end up with a pile of phrases and no map. They can say a greeting and order a coffee, but they cannot build a sentence of their own, and every new text feels like starting again. Gaps in grammar and vocabulary quietly pile up until progress stalls.
This course gives you the map. It walks you through Swedish in a clear order, from reading rules and first dialogues to past, perfect and future forms, indirect speech and business etiquette. Theory is kept to what you will actually use, without heavy linguistic terminology, and every lesson ends with tasks that put the new material to work.
The programme is written for an adult who is busy, motivated and ready to work consistently. It also helps you avoid the typical mistakes that speakers of other languages make with Swedish word order, articles and verb forms.
Understand the logic of word order, endings and verb forms instead of memorising isolated rules.
Use present, past, perfect and future forms, comparisons, pronouns and subordinate clauses.
Train vocabulary in a convenient format through a companion app.
Practise written tasks in every block, from simple texts to everyday messages.
Build listening skills with dialogues, videos with subtitles and a final news-style listening practice.
Record yourself answering speaking tasks about work, family, food, travel and plans.
Introduce yourself, shop, ask for directions, talk about your day and make a business call.
Use homework, six tests with full walkthroughs and a mock exam in the Swedex A2 format.
Every block of the course is built on the same principle: a topic from real life, a clear grammar point attached to it, and tasks that cover speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary and writing. A lesson about the contents of your bag also teaches definite and indefinite noun forms. A lesson about your day introduces verb forms, the imperative and inverted word order.
Because grammar always arrives together with a situation you might really be in, you see straight away where it is used. You also see the cultural side: how Swedes talk about holidays, food, work and invitations.

This is a self-paced programme made of recorded video lessons. You get access to all materials as soon as you pay, so you can follow the order from the first lesson to the last, or jump to a topic you need. The course is organised like an online library, and you can return to any earlier lesson whenever you want to review it.
There is no personal feedback from a teacher. Instead, progress is built into the format. Each lesson ends with homework, and the answers to the online exercises appear immediately. After every module there is a test, and the next lesson walks through all of its tasks. Your vocabulary progress is tracked in the companion app.
The course follows the structure of a widely used A1–A2 textbook series whose exercises are freely available online, so you do not have to buy any books. If you prefer paper, the course lists recommended titles. You will also find a curated selection of podcasts, music, films, series, video blogs, books and articles that help you surround yourself with Swedish in daily life.
Part one takes you from zero to A1, and part two from A1 to A2. Each module combines topics, grammar, vocabulary and practice, and ends with a test and review.
Every lesson comes with homework and additional materials.
Each test is followed by a lesson that explains every task.
Try an A2 exam in the Swedex format at the end, with answers.
More than 2,000 of the most frequently used words in a convenient format.
Word trainers, texts, subtitled videos and online exercises.
Podcasts, music, films, series, video blogs, books and articles.
Instructions for studying effectively with the platform and the materials.
B1-level materials and new lessons added while your access is open.

When you finish the programme, Swedish stops being a mystery. You understand how sentences are constructed and why, so new words and structures fit into a system you already know. You can read short texts and write simple messages and letters.
You follow slow, clear speech, answer everyday questions, talk about your family, work, plans and past experiences, and handle common situations such as shopping, travelling, a restaurant visit or a business call. Your vocabulary covers more than two thousand frequent words.
You also know where you stand. The tests and the mock exam show your strong points and your remaining gaps, and the list of further resources, podcasts and series gives you a natural way to keep going. Because access also includes B1 material and new lessons while it is open, you can continue without searching for a new course.
It depends on your pace. The modules are planned as roughly three to five weeks of regular study each. Many learners spend a few hours a week on videos, homework and vocabulary. Choose a pace that fits your access period.
