Why good speakers are made, not born

You know the feeling: the meeting moves toward you, your name is called, and your carefully formed ideas collapse into a rush of words. Or you prepare a presentation for days, then deliver it in a flat voice while attention drifts to phones. The problem is rarely that you have nothing to say. It is that speaking in front of people is a skill with its own mechanics, and most of us were never taught them.

Public speaking and negotiation are often treated as personality traits. They are not. Volume, pace, pitch, pauses, structure, presence and recovery after a difficult question can all be practised. Once you understand what the audience needs from you at each moment, the pressure drops and your natural voice has room to appear.

This programme is a practical, recorded course built around 64 lessons and a sequence of assignments. It starts with the foundations of any appearance: why you are speaking, who is listening and what you want them to do. Then it moves through voice, charisma, preparation, difficult moments, negotiation and speaking to a camera.

It is designed for people who want a method they can use in real rooms and real calls, not a collection of tricks. You will rehearse, record yourself, review what happened and adjust. By the end, you will have a repeatable way to prepare, deliver and recover when a conversation does not go to plan.

What you will be able to do

Each ability is built through short lessons and practice assignments you can apply to your own work.

  • Prepare a speech around a clear outcome

Define what the audience should think, feel or do before you write a single slide.

  • Control volume, pace, pitch and pauses

Use the instruments of voice deliberately instead of speaking on autopilot.

  • Build natural charisma and presence

Practise presence without pretending to be someone else on stage.

  • Handle interruptions and difficult questions

Recover your place, answer under pressure and keep the room with you.

  • Structure persuasive arguments for negotiations

Set outcomes, listen for interests and present proposals that are easy to agree with.

  • Stay calm when a conversation turns difficult

Use preparation and delivery habits that reduce panic in tense moments.

  • Present confidently to a camera or online audience

Adapt your voice, framing and energy for webinars, calls and recorded video.

  • Review your own delivery and improve it

Use self-review checklists to spot what worked and what to change next time.

The three instruments you can control

Most delivery advice stops at “be more confident”. This course gives you concrete controls: volume, frequency and speed. You will find your natural level for each one, then practise changing it on purpose so that emphasis, calm and authority stop being accidents.

Pauses are the fourth instrument. A well-placed pause gives the audience time to absorb an idea and gives you time to choose your next sentence. The lessons pair each instrument with a short drill, so you hear the difference in your own voice rather than only understanding it in theory.

The same controls work in negotiation. A slower pace, a lower volume and a deliberate pause can change the temperature of a difficult conversation before you say anything clever.

  • Find your natural volume and project without shouting
  • Break monotony by varying pitch on purpose
  • Use pace to signal importance and calm
  • Place pauses where they help the audience think

How the course works

The programme is recorded and self-paced. It contains 64 lessons grouped into eight modules, with practice assignments that ask you to speak, record, review and adjust. You can work through the modules in order or return to a specific topic when a real presentation or negotiation is coming up.

Each module combines a clear explanation with a drill. You are not asked to memorise scripts. You are asked to test a technique in your own voice, notice what changes and keep what works. The assignments are designed for short practice sessions rather than marathon rehearsals.

There are no scheduled live classes or one-to-one coaching sessions. The course is built for independent study: you get the lessons, the exercises and the self-review prompts, and you decide when to practise. Access stays available after purchase, so you can revisit the material when you need it.

Every speech is a skill you can rehearse, not a personality trait you either have or lack.

Is this course for you?

This course is for you if…

  • Professionals who present in meetings, webinars or conferences
  • Founders and managers who need to persuade rooms and negotiate terms
  • Salespeople and consultants who handle objections and difficult conversations
  • People who avoid speaking because their voice or preparation feels unreliable
  • Anyone who wants a repeatable method for speaking on camera and online

Probably not a fit if…

  • People who want a live group course with scheduled calls
  • People looking for one-to-one coaching or personal feedback
  • People who will not practise between lessons
  • People who want a quick trick without changing how they prepare

After the course

After the course, a presentation stops being a test of personality and becomes a task you know how to prepare. You will have a way to define the outcome, structure the message, choose the right voice controls and rehearse under realistic conditions. When you walk into the room, you will know what you are doing and why.

In difficult conversations, you will have a method for slowing down, listening for interests and keeping your voice steady. You will be less likely to rush, over-explain or lose your place when someone interrupts. Negotiation becomes a structured conversation rather than a battle of nerves.

You will also have a self-review habit. By recording short practices and checking them against clear criteria, you can keep improving without waiting for someone else to tell you what went wrong. The material stays available, so you can return to a module before a big talk or a difficult meeting.

Questions before you buy

How much time do I need each week?

Most people work through one module a week, which means roughly two to three hours including the practice assignments. If you only have thirty minutes a day, the lessons are short enough to spread across the week.

Do I need any experience in public speaking?

No. The programme starts with the foundations and assumes you may never have had any formal training. It is also useful if you already speak regularly but want a more reliable method for voice, structure and difficult moments.

How do I get access after payment?

After checkout you receive access to the online learning area, where all 64 lessons and the practice materials are organised by module. You can start immediately and work at your own speed.

What is the refund policy?

You have 14 days from purchase to request a refund. If the course is not what you expected, contact support within that period and the payment is returned according to the refund terms.

What format are the lessons in?

The lessons are recorded video with supporting written prompts and assignments. There are no live sessions and no scheduled calls, so you are never tied to a fixed timetable.

Does the material stay available?

Yes. Access to the lessons and materials remains in your account after purchase, so you can revisit any module when a real presentation or negotiation comes up.

Does the course cover negotiation as well as speaking?

Yes. One module is dedicated to difficult moments and negotiation, covering how to set an outcome, listen for interests rather than positions, handle objections and close with clear agreements.

Will this help with online presentations and webinars?

The final module focuses on speaking to a camera, framing and voice for online talks, running a webinar and handling technical problems without losing your composure.
