Why the same conflicts keep returning

Many people notice that the same situations repeat in their lives. You agree to something you did not want, then feel resentful. You take care of everyone, then feel exhausted and unseen. Or you lash out, then feel guilty for days. Each time it seems that the cause is the other person, and yet the pattern follows you from one relationship to the next.

Psychology offers a useful explanation. Most of us carry basic settings formed long ago: what we allow, what we tolerate, what we believe we owe other people and what we believe we deserve. When those settings are blurred, personal boundaries blur with them, and relationships begin to run on familiar roles instead of honest choices.

One of the best-known descriptions of these roles is the drama triangle, in which people move between the positions of Victim, Rescuer and Aggressor. The triangle feels like ordinary family life, which is exactly why it is so hard to notice from the inside. It tends to leave everyone involved tired and a little lonelier than before.

This course is built around a simple idea: you can change these settings without breaking yourself or hurting the people you love. Over three weeks you will learn to see what really drives actions, your own and other people's, and practise a soft way out of roles that no longer serve you.

What you will be able to do

  • Recognise where your personal boundaries begin and end

You will learn the signals that show a boundary has been crossed, long before resentment builds up.

  • Explain the real reasons behind your own actions

You will look past excuses and habits to the motives that actually steer your choices.

  • Read the motives behind the behaviour of people close to you

Understanding why someone acts as they do makes it easier to respond calmly instead of reacting.

  • Identify the Victim, Rescuer and Aggressor roles in everyday situations

You will spot the roles in family talk, at work and in your own inner dialogue.

  • Notice which corner of the triangle you usually stand in

Knowing your habitual position is the first step to choosing a different one.

  • Practise a soft exit from an unhelpful pattern

You will use step-by-step exercises that avoid drama and self-blame.

  • Say no without guilt and without a fight

You will prepare simple phrases and rehearse them in realistic scenes.

  • Build a new foundation for how you treat yourself

You will replace harsh self-talk with a steadier, more respectful inner voice.

Who this programme is written for

Boundaries are not a rare problem. They affect anyone who finds it hard to refuse, who feels responsible for other people's moods, or who is often surprised by their own reactions. They also affect people who feel that everyone around them takes more than they give.

The course speaks to adults in everyday situations: partners, parents, grown-up children, colleagues and friends. You do not need any background in psychology. All terms are explained in plain language and tied to examples you will recognise from daily life.

The approach is practical rather than theoretical. Each lesson is meant to lead to something you can notice, try or write down within a day. The aim is lasting change at a pace that feels safe, rather than a dramatic breakthrough that fades after a week.

How the course works

The programme is organised as three weeks of work, followed by a short closing module. Each week has a clear theme and a handful of lessons that build on one another. You watch or listen to the lessons online, then complete the exercises that go with them.

Lessons are designed to be taken at your own pace. A reasonable rhythm is a few lessons per week, with time between them to observe your own behaviour in real situations. Observation is where most of the change happens, so it is worth leaving that space rather than rushing through the material in a single weekend.

Each module includes practical tasks such as short written reflections, scenario replays and boundary maps. You keep your answers for yourself, so you can be fully honest. Because the material stays available after you finish, you can return to any lesson when a similar situation shows up again.

Is this course for you?

This course is for you if…

  • You find it hard to say no and often feel guilty when you do
  • You feel responsible for other people's moods or choices
  • You notice the same conflicts repeating in different relationships
  • You want to understand your own reactions better
  • You prefer gentle, step-by-step change over dramatic measures

  • You are looking for one-to-one counselling or personal sessions
  • You expect a quick fix without any reflection or practice
  • You are in a crisis that needs immediate professional or emergency help
  • You want a course on psychology theory for academic study

After the course

By the end of the three weeks you will have a clearer picture of your own boundaries and of the roles you tend to take in relationships. You will be better at noticing the moment when a conversation starts to slide into the familiar triangle, and you will have a few tested ways to step aside from it.

Everyday situations become easier to handle. You can decline a request calmly, listen to a family member without taking on their problem, and explain your own position without attacking. These are small skills, but practised regularly they change the tone of a household or a friendship.

The course does not promise to change other people, and it does not replace professional help when that is needed. What it gives you is a clearer understanding and a set of habits that you can keep using, with the lessons available whenever you want to revisit them.

Questions before you order

How much time do I need each week?

Plan for a few lessons per week plus a little time for the exercises and for observing your own reactions in daily life. Most people find that an hour or two spread across the week is enough, but you can go faster or slower.

Do I need any previous knowledge of psychology?

No. The course starts from the basics and explains every term in plain language. It is suitable for anyone who is curious about their relationships and willing to reflect honestly.

How does access work after payment?

Once your payment is complete you receive access to the course and can start straight away. You can study on your own schedule, from any device with an internet connection.

What is the refund policy?

You can request a refund within 14 days of your purchase if the course is not what you expected.

What format are the lessons in?

The lessons are online, self-paced video and audio lessons with practical exercises that you complete on your own.

Will the material stay available after I finish?

Yes. The lessons remain available so you can return to them whenever a similar situation comes up.

Is this therapy or a replacement for professional help?

No. This is an educational programme about boundaries and relationship patterns. If you are dealing with a serious difficulty, please talk to a qualified professional.

Can I take the course together with a partner or friend?

Each order is for one person. You are welcome to discuss the ideas with someone close to you, but the exercises are designed for individual reflection.
