A practical, terminal-based course that takes you from option basics to advanced strategies, position adjustments and earnings plays.
Options can seem like a different language: calls, puts, strikes, Greeks, implied volatility, open interest. Most beginners collect random videos and articles and never assemble a coherent process. They place a trade, watch it move against them, and have no idea whether the problem was direction, timing, volatility or simply position size.
This programme replaces that patchwork with a structured path. It starts with the trading environment itself, then builds the vocabulary and the mechanics, and only then moves into strategies. Each idea is shown on a real trading terminal rather than described in the abstract, so you see where the numbers live and what happens when you act on them.
By the end you will have a routine you can repeat: how to scan the market, how to choose a strategy that matches the conditions, how to pick strikes and expirations, how to size the position, and how to adjust or close it. You will also understand the risks well enough to decide when not to trade at all.
Configure the interface, charts and option chain so the data you need is in front of you.
Interpret premiums, strikes, expirations, implied volatility and open interest.
See how delta, gamma, theta, vega and rho change as the market and time move.
Single-leg calls and puts, covered calls, bull and bear spreads with defined risk.
Straddles, strangles, iron condors, iron butterflies and calendar spreads.
Know when to defend a trade, how to roll it and when closing is the better decision.
Plan earnings positions with a defined risk budget and a clear exit before the open.
Choose strikes and expirations for short holding periods while respecting pattern-day-trading limits.
Generate signals, review a portfolio and automate routine checks without writing code.
The course is not a theory marathon. Lessons are recorded inside the Interactive Brokers TWS platform, the environment used by professional traders. You watch the screen as a position is assembled: where to click, which fields matter, what the order ticket shows before you confirm.
Each strategy lesson follows the same pattern. First the logic of the strategy and the market conditions it suits. Then how to choose strikes and expiration dates. Then the position is opened on screen, and finally the risk is examined: what can go wrong, where the loss is capped, and how the trade is managed if the market does not cooperate.
Practice assignments accompany the modules. You can work through them on a paper trading account, testing structures without risking capital, and move to live trading only when the mechanics feel routine.
The programme is fully self-paced. All lessons are recorded video and become available on the learning platform immediately after payment, so you can start the same day. You can watch in any order, pause, rewind and return to any lesson for as long as your access lasts.
The standard enrolment includes six months of access to the complete curriculum, the practice assignments and the supporting materials. That is enough time to work through the modules carefully, repeat the strategy lessons and build a personal trading checklist before your access ends.
There are no scheduled sessions and no one-to-one coaching in this version. It is built for independent learners who want a complete, well-ordered curriculum they can follow at their own speed, on their own schedule, without being tied to a group timetable.
Eight modules take you from platform setup through fundamentals, the Greeks, strategy construction, risk management and AI-assisted workflows.
Eight modules covering setup, fundamentals, Greeks, strategies, risk and AI workflows.
Every strategy is built on screen in the Interactive Brokers TWS platform.
Tasks after the modules so you apply each structure before moving on.
A decision aid that maps market conditions to the strategies taught in the course.
Rules for sizing, profit targets, stop levels and rolling a losing position.
Separate walkthroughs for reporting season and for short holding periods.
Enough time to complete the programme, repeat lessons and revisit the material.
Most losses in options trading come from a small set of avoidable errors. Buying options with no view on volatility. Selling premium without understanding the size of the tail risk. Holding a position into an earnings release because closing it felt like admitting a mistake. Adding size to a trade that is already going wrong.
Each of these errors is addressed directly in the curriculum. Volatility and open interest get their own module. The Greeks are taught as a risk dashboard rather than exam material. Risk management and position adjustment come before the earnings and intraday modules, so the habits are in place before the more demanding tactics appear.
The course also spends time on the unglamorous part: choosing a strategy that fits the data you actually have, rather than forcing a favourite structure onto every market. That single discipline separates traders who last from traders who have one good month.
You finish with a working routine rather than a pile of notes. You can open a platform, read the option chain, judge whether implied volatility is high or low relative to recent history, and pick a structure that expresses your view with a loss you have already accepted.
You will know how to place a multi-leg order, how to read the resulting risk profile, and what to do when the underlying moves against you. Rolling, closing early and taking a small loss become ordinary decisions instead of emergencies.
You will also have a clear sense of your own limits: which strategies suit your account size, how much of your capital a single position should use, and when the honest answer is to wait for better conditions.
Most learners spend three to five hours a week, which covers watching the lessons and completing the practice assignments. The full programme can be finished in about a month at that pace, and you have six months of access if you prefer to go slower.
No. The course starts with platform setup and the basic vocabulary, so it works for complete beginners. If you already trade stocks, you will move through the early modules faster and get more from the strategy and risk sections.
No. Options work for small and large accounts alike, and the course covers position sizing for different balances. What matters is that you can afford to lose the capital you allocate to a position, and that you practise on a paper account first.
Access is created on the learning platform immediately after your payment is confirmed. You receive the login details by email and can start the first lesson the same day. If anything does not arrive, support will resolve it quickly.
All lessons are recorded video, demonstrated on a live trading terminal rather than slides. Assignments and supporting materials accompany the modules. There are no scheduled sessions, so you watch whenever it suits you.
The standard enrolment includes six months of access to the full curriculum from the moment you start. Lessons can be rewatched as often as you like during that period, so you can return to the strategy modules while you practise.
Yes. You have 14 days from purchase to request a refund if the course is not what you expected. Write to support within that window and the payment is returned according to the store refund policy.
No. Options trading carries real risk, and no course can guarantee results. What the programme delivers is a structured understanding of the instruments, the strategies and the risk controls, so your decisions are informed rather than hopeful.
The demonstrations use the Interactive Brokers TWS platform, which is free to download and includes a paper trading mode. A funded account is only needed when you decide to trade live, and that decision is entirely yours.
Eight modules, 41 lessons and six months of access, with every strategy demonstrated on a real trading terminal.
