When homework becomes the hardest part of the day

Most parents want the same thing: a child who is curious, learns willingly and does not lose heart when something is difficult. In reality the evening often looks different. There are reminders, negotiations, tears over a bad mark, and a quiet worry that you are either pushing too hard or not helping enough.

The usual advice rarely solves this, because it treats study as a separate problem. In practice, how a child learns depends on the atmosphere at home, on the values the family lives by, on how mistakes are discussed and on how the parent feels at the end of a long day.

This programme starts with you. Before it turns to the child, it helps you restore your own energy, clarify what you actually value in education and agree on those priorities with the people in your family. Only then does it move to practical tools for motivation, self-organisation and a healthy attitude to results.

Over three months you build a personal system: your own view of education, a set of family traditions that support learning, and a repertoire of ways to help your child focus, switch state and finish what they start.

What you will be able to do

Each outcome is practised in the lessons and applied to your own family situation.

  • Write your own system of educational priorities

You turn your personal values into clear guidelines for raising and teaching your child.

  • Agree on values and rules with your family

You set up norms for study and home life that people actually want to follow.

  • Understand what drives your child's motivation

You learn to tell the difference between pressure, reward and genuine interest.

  • Plan a calendar of family learning events

You build traditions and occasions that keep a positive emotional tone around learning.

  • Teach your child to organise their own work

You pass on practical self-organisation and self-study techniques that suit creative and sensitive children.

  • Respond calmly when school gets difficult

You manage your own emotions and help your child focus on a successful result.

  • Build a healthy attitude to mistakes and marks

You learn ways of assessing effort that support self-esteem.

  • Prepare your child for the school year

You set goals, control points and routines, and follow progress through the year.

  • Translate rules into the language of play and story

You explain expectations in a way a child understands and accepts.

The idea behind the programme

The programme is built on a value-and-meaning approach to education. The central idea is that a child learns best when study makes personal sense to them and to the adults around them. A mark or a deadline can start an action, but meaning is what keeps it going.

That is why the course does not give you a list of tricks to apply to a child. It asks you to work through four questions in order: what state am I in, what do we value as a family, how does my child learn best, and how do we organise the year so that effort leads to results.

Each module closes with a concrete result you create yourself, such as a personal system of educational priorities, a strategy for raising your child, a calendar of family events or a plan for the school year. You finish with working documents for your own family, not just notes.

The lessons draw on the experience of several educators and authors of educational projects, which means you see the same topics from different angles: family traditions, personalised learning, and self-directed study for creative children.

How the course works

The core of the programme is recorded, so you can study in the evening, on a weekend or in short sessions between other tasks. Plan for about three to five hours a week. The lessons are in video format and can be followed on a smartphone as well as on a computer, as long as you have an internet connection.

Your study begins as soon as you pay. Bonus materials open straight away, and you can start using them in everyday conversations with your child before the main lessons begin.

Every participant is assigned a curator who works with the group. You can bring your questions and your own family examples, and you get feedback while you are still applying the material. Alongside the modules you receive a library of recorded webinars that go deeper into values, family traditions, goals, self-organisation, assessment and the special features of a child's study work.

Is this course for you?

This course is for you if…

  • Parents of school-age children who want learning at home to be calmer and more productive
  • Parents of creative or sensitive children who struggle with routines and school demands
  • Families who want to agree on shared values and rules around study
  • Parents who feel tired or stretched and want to restore their own resources first
  • Adults who like a structured programme with a curator and a group

Probably not a fit if…

  • Anyone looking for a quick list of tricks that works without reflection
  • Parents who want someone else to work with the child directly
  • Those who cannot set aside a few hours each week
  • Anyone expecting a promise of top marks within a fixed number of weeks

After the course

By the end of the three months you have a clear view of what education means for your family and the priorities that follow from it. You have rules and traditions that people understand, and you know how to talk about learning without turning every evening into a negotiation.

Your child receives tools that belong to them: ways to plan work, to move from a restless state to a focused one, to handle a mistake and to look at their own result with interest instead of fear.

You also keep a practical set of materials. A family calendar of learning events, a school-year plan with control points and your written strategy of upbringing can be reviewed and adjusted as your child grows.
