Six recorded workouts of 30 minutes each that train strength, flexibility and joint mobility together. You need no equipment and no martial arts background.

Most people begin training by picking an exercise they have seen somewhere and repeating it until something hurts or gets boring. Strength is trained on one day, stretching is squeezed in at the end or skipped, and the joints, which carry all of that work, get almost no attention.
Gong fu is a traditional Chinese system of conditioning. It brings together the methods and means that kung fu practitioners used for generations to prepare the body: strength, flexibility, endurance, speed and coordination. It is not a collection of tricks. It is the base on which everything else is built.
In martial arts, a student who has not prepared the body struggles to learn strikes, stances and blocks. The same logic applies to anyone else. If your hips are tight, your shoulders are weak and your back is stiff, almost any sport or daily activity feels harder than it should.
This course gives you that base in a compact form. Six workouts, each about half an hour, combine joint warm-ups, strength work and stretching in a logical order. You can follow them at home, at any time of day, with nothing but a bit of floor space.
Learn a joint warm-up routine that prepares the body before every session.
Use bodyweight exercises that develop the muscles of the upper and lower body.
Train the centre of the body with exercises for the abdominal muscles, back and core.
Work step by step on hip mobility, the key to deep stances and lower stretches.
Develop stable, mobile shoulders through targeted exercises.
Follow structured stretching sequences that you can repeat on your own.
Practise exercises that train balance and control of your movement.
Hold effort for longer while keeping good form.
Use short sessions that fit into a busy day and keep your routine going.
The key idea of the programme is that strength and flexibility are not opposites. A joint that moves freely but has no muscle support is unstable, and a strong muscle that cannot lengthen limits your range of motion. Each workout therefore mixes both qualities.
The emphasis is on mobility of the joints, which is what keeps movement comfortable over the long term. Every session starts by preparing the joints, moves on to strength work, and ends with stretching so that the body finishes looser than it started.

The course is a set of recorded video lessons. You start with an introductory lesson that explains how to practise and gives the theory behind the system. After that come six workouts, each built around its own combination of exercises.
Every workout lasts about 30 minutes, so you can fit one in before work, during a lunch break or in the evening. Because the lessons are recorded, you choose the time and you can pause, repeat a section or return to a lesson whenever you wish.
No special equipment is required. You need a clear patch of floor and comfortable clothes. The programme is suitable for beginners as well as for people who already train and want to add a structured base of strength and mobility.
The workouts are designed to be followed in order, and repeating them is a good way to see your progress. Doing a workout again after a few weeks shows how much further you can move and how much easier the strength exercises have become.

Practical recommendations and theory before you begin.
Each session runs about 30 minutes and covers the whole body.
Watch whenever it suits you, on a phone, tablet or computer.
Warm-up, strength and stretching in every session, so you never have to plan.
Go back to any workout as often as you like.
Your lessons are available as soon as your payment is confirmed.

Once you have worked through all six workouts, you will know a complete set of exercises for the whole body and understand why each part of a session is placed where it is. You will warm up your joints with confidence rather than skipping straight to the hard part.
You will have a clearer sense of your own body: which areas are tight, which need more strength, and how your range of movement changes from week to week. Stretches that felt out of reach at the start become more comfortable with repetition.
If you are interested in martial arts, you will have the physical preparation that makes learning stances and techniques much easier. If not, you will have a practical home routine you can keep using, repeating the workouts or mixing them into your other training.
Each workout takes about 30 minutes. How often you train is up to you, but a few sessions a week is a realistic pace for most people, and the lessons are easy to repeat.
