Twelve recorded movement lessons that teach your nervous system new options. No strain, no pushing through, and you can practise at home whenever suits you.

Most of us move in the same few ways every day. We sit the same way, reach the same way and carry tension in the same places, usually without noticing. Over the years these habits start to feel like limits, even though they are only patterns.
Many movement classes answer this with effort: stretch harder, strengthen more, push through. That works for some people. For many others it brings tension, frustration or a feeling that the body is something to be fixed or beaten into shape.
This collection takes a different route. It is based on the idea that movement is learned by the nervous system, so it can be re-learned. Each lesson invites you to move slowly and with curiosity, to notice what you are doing and to try small variations. The aim is a wider choice of ways to move, not a harder workout.
The recordings give you that kind of guided practice wherever you are. You lie on the floor, sit on a chair or stand, listen to the instructions and follow them at your own pace.
After working through the collection you will have practical experience in:
Explore its role as the centre from which many everyday actions begin.
Notice how the ribs, shoulders and arms can work together more easily.
Learn to feel and coordinate this area as part of your whole posture.
Discover how the feet contribute to a sense of verticality.
Try gentler ways to turn, look and reach.
Find a sense of inner length that supports upright, relaxed posture.
Notice how vision shapes the way the rest of you moves.
Learn to rely on yourself instead of copying a model of the right way.
Build a habit of curious, gentle attention that you can bring into daily life.
Every lesson follows the same simple principle. You are guided through a sequence of small, slow movements, usually lying down or sitting. Between sequences you rest and notice what has changed.
The instructions invite you to do less than you can, because gentle movement lets you feel differences that force would hide. By comparing the left side with the right, or before with after, you learn what your body is actually doing and discover alternatives.
This is why the lessons suit very different people. There is no ideal shape to reach and no competition, only your own sensations and a growing range of options.

The collection consists of recorded lessons that you can play whenever you like. There are no live sessions you must attend and no fixed schedule. You decide when to practise and which lesson to do.
Each lesson is built around one theme, such as the feet, the neck and shoulders or the pelvic floor. We suggest you do the lessons in order the first time, because the themes build on each other. Afterwards you can return to any lesson that you want to revisit.
You need comfortable clothes, a quiet space of about two metres by one and a mat or folded blanket. Leave the lesson at any point if something does not feel comfortable. The method is about listening to yourself, and you set the limits.
Six themed modules with two lessons each, twelve lessons in total.
Guided practice you can play on a phone, tablet or computer.
A clear order to follow, from the centre of the body out to the limbs.
Return to any lesson whenever you want to practise it again.
All you need is a mat and a quiet corner.
No deadlines and no sessions to miss.
Try the first lessons and decide with no risk.

After the twelve lessons you will have a personal library of movements that you know how to do and why they feel good. You will notice more of what you do while sitting, walking and reaching, and you will have more ways to change it.
Many learners find that their practice shifts from doing exercises to paying attention. You start to choose easier ways to turn your head, get up from a chair or carry a bag, and the lessons become a habit of kind, curious self-observation.
You can keep the collection as a practice tool. Come back to a single lesson when a particular theme matters, such as the feet after a long day or the neck and shoulders after hours at a desk.
It is up to you. Each lesson is a single sitting on the floor, so one or two lessons a week is a comfortable pace. You can do more or less and there is no deadline.
