Why learning English can feel like a chore for children

Many children meet English as a list of words to memorise and exercises to finish. School lessons and language courses are valuable, but they often leave little room for curiosity, and a child who is not curious quickly starts to resist. Parents notice it at home: the homework gets done, but the language never becomes part of everyday life.

This club takes a different route. Instead of isolated topics, every month centres on one atmospheric book. Vocabulary and grammar come from the story itself, so a new word arrives with a picture, a character and a reason to remember it. Learning feels less like study and more like exploring a story together.

The programme is designed for children at A1–A2 level and works as a companion to school or language courses. It does not replace what your child already does. It adds the part that is often missing: enjoyment, creativity and a regular, unhurried habit of meeting the language.

Your child can work alone, or you can sit beside them and learn together. Either way, the pace is gentle, the steps are small and the focus stays on the pleasure of making progress.

What your child will be able to do

Skills the monthly lessons and workbook practise, at A1–A2 level.

  • Read short book passages aloud with growing confidence

Audio narration of each book gives a model to listen to and repeat.

  • Recognise and use new vocabulary from a story

Words are practised on a visual language board, with cards and associations.

  • Understand basic grammar patterns in context

Grammar topics are taken directly from the text of the book of the month.

  • Follow simple spoken English in short audio excerpts

Listening passages taken from animated films based on the books bring living speech into the lessons.

  • Express ideas by writing, drawing and colouring

The creative workbook turns practice into a personal, unique notebook.

  • Build a steady learning routine at home

Short video lessons and homework after each one make regular study easy to maintain.

  • Share work and get feedback from a teacher

A friendly chat is the place to show finished pages and ask questions.

  • Enjoy learning English alone or together with a parent

The materials are made for shared family activity as well as independent study.

Small steps, joy and creativity

The club rests on three ideas. The first is small steps: each month is a manageable portion of material, so a child can finish it and feel successful rather than behind. The second is joy in the process: lessons are warm, visual and unhurried, and the goal is to make the child want to come back. The third is creativity as the main tool for learning a language.

In practice, creativity means that children do not only answer questions. They write, draw, colour, decorate and build their own workbook for every book. A page they have made themselves is a page they remember, and the vocabulary on it stays with them longer than a word copied from a list.

The aim is to make English a natural part of family life: something you read, listen to and create together, and a source of inspiration for continuing to learn over the long term.

How the club works

The club is a monthly subscription delivered online on a learning platform. Each month opens a new book with its own set of materials: an audio narration, four to five video lessons, a creative workbook, listening excerpts, extra learning aids and homework. You move through them at your own pace, whenever suits your family.

Video lessons use a language board, a visual space where words, phrases and grammar patterns are shown and practised step by step. After each lesson there is homework to consolidate what your child has just seen. A private chat lets members share their workbook pages, discuss the tasks and receive feedback from the teacher.

The subscription renews each month and you can cancel the renewal at any time from your personal account. When you pay, your card is saved to your profile so that the monthly payment happens automatically, and you do not have to arrange anything by hand. The first book in the club is Alice in Wonderland, and the programme below describes how that month is organised.

This course is for you if…

  • Parents of children at A1–A2 level who want learning to be more enjoyable
  • Families who would like to learn together and make English a shared activity
  • Children who already study at school or on a course and want an extra, creative practice

Probably not a fit if…

  • Learners at an advanced level who need more complex material
  • Anyone looking for a one-to-one tutoring or personal coaching service
  • Families who want a fast exam-preparation programme
  • Those who would rather buy one fixed course than a monthly subscription

After joining the club

After a few months your child will have a growing collection of beautifully made workbooks, each connected to a book they have actually enjoyed. Instead of abstract rules, they will remember characters, scenes and the words that belong to them.

English will feel more familiar and less intimidating. Reading aloud, listening to short passages and writing a few sentences will become part of a comfortable routine, supporting what happens at school or on language courses.

For you as a parent, the club offers a simple structure for studying together: a clear monthly theme, ready lessons, homework and a chat where questions are answered. You no longer have to invent activities, because everything is prepared and designed to be enjoyed.

Questions before you join

How much time does it take each week?

There is no fixed schedule. A month contains four to five video lessons, plus workbook pages and homework, so many families spend about one to two hours a week. You can go faster or slower to suit your child.

What level does my child need?

The club is designed for levels A1–A2. No special preparation is needed beyond that, and the materials work well alongside school lessons or language courses.

Can my child study alone, or must a parent take part?

Both work. Your child can go through the lessons independently, or you can study together and make the activities a shared creative project.

How does access work after payment?

Once you pay, you join the club on the learning platform and can open the current month's materials straight away, together with the bonus library and colouring pages.

How does the subscription and payment work?

The club costs €25.00 per month. Your card is saved to your profile and the monthly payment is taken automatically. You can cancel the renewal at any time in your personal account.

What is the refund policy?

You can request a refund within 14 days of your payment if the club is not what you expected.

What format are the lessons in?

Lessons are recorded videos that use a language board. They are supported by audio narration, a creative workbook, listening excerpts, extra materials and homework.

Does the material stay available?

Yes. Lessons and materials remain in your account on the learning platform for as long as your membership is active, so you can return to them whenever you like.

Which book is the club studying now?

The current month is built around Alice in Wonderland. A new book follows every month.
