A structured video programme that takes you from safe falling to submissions, sweeps and guard control, wherever you can find a mat and a training partner.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu is one of the hardest martial arts to learn from scattered clips. Techniques depend on small details such as where your elbow sits, how your hips turn and when you shift your weight. A random video rarely shows the sequence in which these ideas should be learned, so many people end up with a pile of tricks and no system.
This is even harder if you live far from a good gym. In many towns there is no instructor at the right level, and in some there is no jiu-jitsu at all. Others have a club but cannot make the class times work around a job or family.
This programme is built for that situation. It follows the blue belt syllabus in a logical order, so every lesson rests on the one before it. You see each technique clearly, hear it explained, and can pause, rewind and repeat as often as you need.
The aim is a practical skill rather than a collection of clips. By the end you understand how submissions, sweeps, positions and guard connect, and you can drill them with confidence.
Learn the mechanics behind each submission, so you finish it cleanly rather than muscle it.
Turn an opponent over or bring them to the ground while keeping your own balance.
Understand how to settle into a position, keep it and move on from it with purpose.
Practise breakfalls and getting up so that training does not cost you injuries.
Use your legs and hips to defend, to attack and to dictate the pace of an exchange.
Develop the movement quality that jiu-jitsu demands, with drills you can do alone.
Link positions, sweeps and submissions so one move leads naturally to the next.
Place what you already know into a clear syllabus and see which gaps remain.
Learning a physical skill from a screen only works when the video is made with that in mind. The lessons use close-ups so you can see exactly where hands and feet go, and slow-motion replays for the moments that happen too fast to follow at full speed.
Each technique is explained with voice-over commentary recorded after filming. This keeps the picture clean while the explanation points out the details that decide whether a move works: grips, angles, pressure and timing.
Lesson lengths are kept convenient, so you can fit a session around your day and then go straight to the mat to repeat what you watched. The material is meant to be revisited several times, because repetition is how jiu-jitsu becomes automatic.

This is the version of the programme without personal feedback: you buy the lessons, study them at your own speed and train with a partner or on your own. There is no fixed start date, and nothing forces you to keep pace with a group.
Soon after payment you receive an email with your access details, usually within 5 to 15 minutes. Check the address you enter at checkout, because that is where the email is sent. From then on the lessons open in your account and play on a phone, tablet or computer.
A good routine is to watch one lesson, then drill it for a few sessions before moving on. If you have a training partner, use the lessons as a shared plan. If you train alone, the coordination and solo drilling material helps you keep improving between sessions with a partner.
You do not need a full gym. A mat or a soft, safe floor, comfortable clothing and, for some techniques, a partner who is willing to practise slowly with you are enough to start.
Six modules following the blue belt syllabus, from safe movement to submissions and sequences.

Return to any technique whenever you need a reminder; the material stays in your account.
When you finish, you will know the blue belt material as a connected whole rather than a list of separate moves. You will be able to explain why a position works, how to move from it, and what to do when your partner responds.
Your training sessions will become more purposeful. Instead of drifting through drills, you can choose a module, work on it for a week and notice the difference in how you move and react.
Falling and getting up safely will feel natural, your guard will be more active, and your finishing mechanics will be cleaner. Above all, you will have a clear map of what to practise next, whether that means going deeper into one area or taking the next step in your martial arts training.
It is up to you. Many people watch one lesson and then spend two or three sessions drilling it. A few hours a week is enough to make steady progress, and there is no deadline.
